This new logo will be used on all projects funded by the newly passed stimulus package. (The Obama Administration has a way with visual identity, don’t they?) The goal, I assume, is to give some accountability to the stimulus. Has anyone seen the logo being used?
More detailed information here.

Or so I was told today when I received these many (many!) different options from my friend Anna. As any supportive, loving friend would do, I have decided to open the vote to my three or four readers. All options are obviously winners but if you have a preference, send them via comments.

There is no doubt that if you were stateside today, you probably picked up on the Obama mania. Now, thanks to Paste Magazine and some very handy programers, you can create your own iconic Obama-style posters.

The New Museum’s galleries proved to be a giant bore (I want my $12 dollars back) but the building was exciting and the bathrooms were awesome. I wish they’d taken as much time selecting the artists as they did tiling the walls to look like pixelated flowers.

At my sister Julie’s request, we added her to a photo of my Grandfather and me (vintage 2006, check out those glasses) Sadly, the only way to add her was by removing my grandmother. Rollover to see the two images.

After two years of presidential campaigning, Americans have heard the importance of energy independence and green technology, over and over and over again. One of my favorite stump-speech lines was always the push for clean coal energy (selling it like it already exists, it doesn’t) And now, with all of the PR spin they could purchase and a poorly executed, albeit trashy, e-card, you too can learn the importance of clean coal with all the effort of listening to poorly rewritten holiday carols.
“Frosty the Coal Man, is a jolly happy soul.
He’s abundant here in America and he helps our economy roll.
Frosty the Coal Man, is getting cleaner every day.
He’s affordable and adorable and helps workers keep their pay.
There must have been some magic in clean coal technology,
For when they looked for pollutants there was nearly none to see.”

SusanReyland.com is now live and finished. (well, as finished as any web project can be, for now). I’m getting better at CSS. So much more to learn.
New Year’s Resolution #1: Get (far) away from print; learn more web.
